Methodology
How HireSpy calculates hiring responsiveness
HireSpy is starting with London roles to keep candidate-reported, evidence-backed hiring timelines focused and comparable. The numbers are indicative and should be read as submitted data, not official company statistics.
Response time
Number of days between the application confirmation and the first employer response.
Eligible reports
A report becomes stat-eligible when either a first employer response has been recorded or 30 days have passed since application with no response recorded.
Response within 30 days
This rate is calculated from eligible reports only. It measures reports where a first employer response was recorded within 30 days of application.
No response after 30 days
This rate is calculated from eligible reports only. It measures submitted reports where no employer response had been recorded after 30 days.
Pending 30-day window
No-response reports less than 30 days old are treated as pending. They appear in total reports but do not count toward the 30-day response or no-response rates yet.
Evidence-backed stats
Stats are based on candidate-submitted timelines. Screenshots can support data quality, but they should be redacted before upload.
Limited data
Companies with fewer than 5 reports are marked as limited data so readers understand the sample size.
Privacy
Screenshots are not shown full-size by default. They should not contain names, email addresses, phone numbers, or personal information.
